Here are a few helpful tips to get you started:
Limit your obituary to an average of 300-360 words. For example, if you average 10-12 words per line do not to exceed approximately 30 lines (including blank lines.) Your obituary text will fit nicely on one of the panels of a Basic Design page.
Write a brief sentence or paragraph per topic such as personal history, Christian/Religious background, personality, community involvement, family life, work life, statement of passing, and remaining family. We'll help you do this below.
Remember, the obibuary is a brief summary of your loved one's life and not a full biography. Keep it brief and to the point.
